HOW TO SUBMIT ART

Due to the club getting so many submission notes every day we cannot keep from changing the rules for submissions. Here are the new rules for submitting your art to the club.

IN A NUTSHELL

Only send us polished pieces of artwork.
Only send us one piece per week.
Title the note with "Submission" or "Submission - Fan Fiction"
Include a Thumb of your work in the note.
Edit the description of the piece before sending with permission for the club to use the piece.

Full Rules

1. There is a limit to one piece per artist per week.
That dosn't mean 4 in one note and saying you won't submit for a month. Send us one piece each week.

2. Please only send us your best work.
We are no longer accepting sketches or doodles. Nothing other than a polished final piece will be accpeted from now on.

If you have a lineart that you intend to colour send us the coloured version only. If you have a doujinshi or comic with lots of pages send us your favourite page to give the members a taste. If you have a fan fiction with many chapters send us the first chapter only.

We will not be accpeting any written work that is not a poem or a fan-fiction (story).

3. We will only submit your work if your note sent was titled "submission". We can't sift through the notes easily when all we have is "(no subject)" or "Do you like this?"
We need to be able to know at a glance that your note is a submission so from now on all notes not titled "Submission" which contain art will be deleted.

If you are sending a fan-fiction to the club please title your note "Submission - Fan-fiction" to help us out. We will not ignore your note though if you forget to write it and only write submission, it just helps us out.

4. Please don't send us work that dosn't focus on L and Light! This club is not for the two separate characters, this club celebrates their relationship. We get sent so many notes that contain just L sitting on a chair or just Light standing holding the Death Note. If you are absolutely certain that your polished piece is about the love between L and Light then send it in, otherwise please send it to another club such as ~DeathNotefan who focus on all Death Note's characters. Any future notes sent with art not focusing on them will be deleted and not replied to.

5. Please include a thumb of the work in your note so we can see instantly what you piece is about. Some of the admins have slow computers and if we have to sit and wait for a page to load only to find out it's not following the clubs rules (e.g is simply a photo of a death note) it was a huge waste of our time.
To obtain your thumb code look under your piece and simply copy and paste it into the note. You don't need to write anything else.

6. Please include the following in the description of your piece before submitting to us. "I give permission for *LxLight to submit thie piece to their gallery" or something similar. Pieces sent to us without the permission will either be ignored or ask to add the message before we will upload it at this end. DO NOT just give permission in the note, you need to edit your pieces description before it can be added.

HOW TO JOIN

If you would like to become a member of the club then all you need to do is watch us. In return we will watch you back and you will be added to the members list.

If you would like to add the clubs icon to your journal, shoutboard or signiture (only devlinks are enabled in signitures) then you do it like this:

This feature is available to both subscribers and non subscribers.

We would be very greatful if you spread the word about the club by using our icon and stamp but you don't have to if you don't want to.


CLUB RULES

Do not add any of the gallery pieces to your favourites

If you do a gallery piece we will send you either a note or a profile comment asking you to remove it. Everything in the gallery has a link in the description to the original image.

Please don't send us any copyrighted/traced material.
We don't submit anything made from original DN artwork/Covers or something traced exactly from original DN artwork.

Please keep your personal arguments away from the club.
If you want to fight or fall out with another deviant then this is not the place to do it.

The club will not accept anything that is too explicit (this includes masterbation) We have the right to turn down any submissions for being to explicit and will never accept any kind of pornography.
